Boatmans Letheringham waterside holiday cottage is just a short, little lanes drive from the A12; a rural cycle ride from Wickham Market train station and only a few miles from the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Take the A12 to exit at junction signed for Wickham Market and Framlingham. Then follow brown signs for Easton Farm Park which eventually lead through the village of Easton with the White Horse pub on your right. Take the next left. At the farm park, continue straight ahead. After crossing the river, turn immediately left, signed Letheringham. Finally, at the tiny triangle of village green, go straight ahead to find Boatmans Cottage just a few metres further on your left.
Getting there: Boatmans is around a 2 hour drive / 1.5 hour rail journey north of London (to Wickham Market station, plus 5 miles taxi/cycling). Just 4 miles from the A12 (London to Lowestoft road), it has easy access south to Woodbridge and Ipswich, and north to Suffolk’s heritage coastline, including its sophisticated seaside towns and historic fishing communities (Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Walberswick, Southwold, Thorpeness, Orford).
Getting about: Letheringham village is not on any public transport route, therefore most guests choose to bring their car. However, the local lanes are suitable for cycling, with Boatmans located on the Suffolk Coastal Cycle Route (National Network 1). There are taxi firms in nearby Woodbridge.
Local Amenities : Letheringham’s Suffolk market town neighbours, Wickham Market (3 miles) and Framlingham (4.5 miles) each have markets, independent shops and a supermarket, plus eating out and takeaway opportunities. A 2 mile circular walk from Boatmans takes in Easton, a charming former estate village, complete with traditional pub/ dining.
Nearby Attractions: Sutton Hoo, the royal Anglo-Saxon ship burial site (National Trust); Snape Maltings internationally acclaimed concert hall and free to visit cultural centre near Aldeburgh; the beaches of the Suffolk Heritage Coast; the world-renowned coastal wetland reserve, RSPB Minsmere; 12th century, curtain-walled Framlingham Castle, more recently made famous by global superstar, Ed Sheeran.
